I can highly recommend Stafford House if you're considering doing any of the teacher training. The location is great and the team there are all amazingly helpful and kind. My tutors especially were fantastic. Overall, this is the ultimate safe space for personal development, growth, learning, teaching, and everything else that comes with doing the CELTA. A big thank you to Steve, Louise, Cameron and the whole team at Stafford House! I look forward to coming back to do one of the short courses.
Just finishing the CELTA intensive at Stafford. It was intense! The instructors were extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the course. I feel much more equipped to be in the classroom. The practical portion of this course was very valuable. Stafford was supportive, encouraging and fun. Great place to take any English related course!
At first I was very confused because I just changed my class to b1+ but!! Helen is very kind to teach me even though sometimes I don't know the lesson, thank you.🫶🏻
The beginning was very difficult. I arrived in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people. But Nieves is the teacher I was hoping to have. She's infinitely kind, funny, understanding and encouraging. That's exactly how I want to learn, without rushing myself and not rushing things. I'm quite sad that we have to change teachers next week. I find that the learning methodology, this kind of change and the ins and outs need to be explained from the start. Many things are not explained from the start. I don't like being told at the last minute. I'd really like to stress that I'm disappointed by this kind of change just as I'm gaining confidence and getting used to the environment.
As for the class, the other people are great and caring. I've been able to make some links over time.
