The school does this through specialising in private lessons something that also has a positive impact on their group lessons. The school’s teachers help each student personally with their individual development in Spanish. Teachers want students to taste the complete Spanish way of life, and not just learn the language. The school is located in the middle of the Ruzafa district, known as one of the city's trendiest neighbourhoods, with colourful bars, concept stores and unique delicacies everywhere.

Great school! I did two weeks of intensive, 4 hrs per day. Everyone was so friendly and I loved my teacher, Coral. They put me in level A2 which felt like the right level, and the teacher was amazing at keeping us engaged throughout the 4 hours, with a mix of more difficult and more lighthearted fun activities. She was also very patient which is so important. I will definitely go back to El Rincón next time I'm in Valencia!
I highly recommend this school :) it’s clean, well-run, the teacher I had was great, and it’s located in an awesome area. They arranged accommodations for me with a local family which was amazing. Staying with them really helped me practice speaking spanish. I went in knowing no spanish at all and only 3 weeks later I can make conversation - I’m so happy with my progress. Thank you!
I am very happy with the school. I took the C1 class with the best teachers. I also took some private lessons to prepare for the DELE C1 exam. I am happy to report that I passed this difficult exam. Other than classes, they organize after school cultural activities, which are so so fun! This school and the people I met there helped me tremendously to get adjusted to life in Valencia. To improve my fluency in Spanish, I decided to come to Spain for an immersion experience. I signed up for a month of courses with El Rincon del Tandem and lived with a family that was assigned to me by the school. The experience I had was very positive. After a month, my speaking skills have improved a lot and I met some great people and had a lot fun time in the meantime. Elena and Francesca in the office were very helpful to me especially in the beginning when I was trying to find a best class I could fit into. Finally I ended up with Andrea’s class. The school was also flexible about letting me skip one class and make the time up by attending another so I could continue to follow my ongoing Cervantes Institute video classes. The teachers were all very dynamic, competent and a lot of fun. I loved Andrea’s energy and enthusiasm and Arancha’s suggestions for cultural activities. They loved to share lot of information about Spanish language and culture.
The family I lived with lived about 1/2 hour walking distance from school and they were very nice, clean, friendly and quiet. I enjoyed living with them.
All people in the school were like a family.
Valencia is a magnificent city and I hope to come back to continue on my Spanish learning journey.

I joined El Rincón del Tándem because I moved to Valencia from New York City. I elected to join this language school I knew nothing about. But from the first day of class I knew I made the right decision. The classes are not structured like the classroom setting when you were 16 years old. Every classroom and class is structured to be more conversational and friendly for yourself, the professor, and other students. Every professor I've had was incredibly nice, fun, and patient. Every person who works there, not just the professors, are incredibly nice. The school also provides weekly activities and regularly updates students on activities going on in the city. I never experienced the feeling of loneliness when I moved to Valencia because the majority of my first friends were also in this school. And even though some went back to their home countries, I still keep in contact with alot of them. The school helped me explore the city and fall in love with it as well. The school helped me in alot more ways than just language.
This school is by far the best language school I have ever attended. I took an intense course for 3 months with 20 hours per week and will be continuing my studies there upon my return to Valencia in May. I had originally thought 4 hours of class a day would be tough to sit through but in this school that is not the case. The teachers here are absolutely incredible and mix just the right amount of different types of learning and activities that keep you engaged and constantly learning throughout the class. The school itself has an incredible vibe that feels like home - and right in the center of Ruzafa! The management goes out of their way to help students with everything from working with your schedule needs to assistance and recommendations for living/ studying in Valencia. They also have weekly free activities that make it easy to make new friends and practice Spanish! This is a school that will quickly feel like home and the teachers and management like family.
